Are you living with anxiety, stress, or the impact of a long-term health condition?
Many of my clients come to me feeling exhausted, stuck, or overwhelmed by the challenges they’re facing. You may be coping with chronic pain or fatigue, struggling with self-esteem, or navigating a life transition that’s left you unsure of your next steps.
Whatever brings you here, I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and begin to make sense of what’s happening for you.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked for many years as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) and completed a B.Sc. in healthcare. This gave me a deep understanding of both physical and emotional wellbeing — and how closely the two are connected.
I also have a background in health promotion and ran a massage therapy practice, which strengthened my appreciation of the mind–body connection and how emotional distress often shows up physically.
Alongside this, I hold a Professional Development Award (PDA) in Addictions. This allows me to support not only those struggling with alcohol, drug, or behavioural addictions, but also family members and loved ones who may be affected.
I believe in holistic wellbeing: caring for mind, body, and emotions together. I’m particularly passionate about supporting people living with long-term conditions such as fibromyalgia, chronic pain, and fatigue — and helping them explore how these experiences can impact identity, relationships, and mental health.
As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I work within their ethical framework and am committed to ongoing professional development. My integrative approach draws on a range of therapeutic models to suit your needs, always grounded in person-centred values of empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard.
I have worked with clients on a wide range of issues, including:
I offer sessions from my private practice in the beautiful market town of Strathaven, within easy reach of East Kilbride, Hamilton, and surrounding areas. I also provide online counselling via a secure, confidential platform for clients across Scotland and beyond.
If this resonates with you, I invite you to get in touch for a free 20-minute consultation. It’s an opportunity to talk through what’s on your mind, ask any questions, and see if counselling with me feels like the right fit
