Client Journey Counselling Testimonial

I am deeply grateful to the client who shared their counselling testimonial with me. Their words reflect the trust, growth, and healing that can occur through the therapeutic process. It’s an honor to be part of their story, and I appreciate their openness in allowing me to share this experience with others.

'I was receiving help from an organization that informed me about available counselling from a student counsellor, and I decided to take the offer. I had previously undergone counselling for PTSD, anxiety, and depression, but I felt incredibly rushed, which didn't help me in the long term. Thus, I was initially sceptical again. However, my own judgment about someone being a student was quickly erased as I realized that Angela had been helping people with issues her whole life. She was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly empathetic.

Initially, the counselling was intended for 12 sessions, and I worried that I'd be halfway through sharing my 'stuff' when I'd be told that's it. Part of the reason I was crying out for help was due to feelings of abandonment, and I didn't want to experience that again. Angela is wise and quickly picked up on my feelings, reassuring me by saying, "There's no limit on sessions" and "I'm not going to leave you midway through." This reassurance helped me lay everything on the table, and I trusted Angela enough to share things I'd never told any counsellor before. I experienced a couple of massive breakthroughs that previous psychologists hadn't been able to elicit, despite their efforts! I've begun to look in the mirror and see my inner child; I love myself and realize I deserve everything good. These realizations are things I had never really voiced about myself, thanks to the exercises I did with Angela and the kind, warm human being that she is.

I now have clear goals for my life, and Angela significantly contributed to this personal growth. I've reached out to places again without feeling like a burden. They are assisting me in studying for a new career soon, and I'm taking better care of myself.

I have told Angela on multiple occasions that she needs to open her own practice. I have seen multiple psychologists and counsellors in the past, but Angela surpasses them all in terms of how she structures the meetings and her compassionate nature. If anyone is considering counselling, I highly advise them to book a session with her and see for themselves what I mean. Angela was born to do this kind of work.
